Hi Jeff

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. First of all, yes it is my family tree on Ancestry, I have contacted 2 other members who have Edward in their trees but unfortunately no luck. The marriage registration to Adalena that you mentioned is to Edward's second wife, all we know about her is that she had 2 sons with Edward, Timothy b1933 and James b1936, confirmation I found through birth registrations on Ancestry. Apparently my Father had a visit from one of the sons some years ago and he was under the impression that he and my father were cousins! My Father died in March this year, aged 93, and for the last few years he suffered with alzheimers so sadly couldn't remember much about the family history. We found an old photo that Lena (Adalena) must have sent to Dad in 1946 and on the back had written, "me at the ripe old age of 37" taken in Middle Lypiatt near Stroud. I have looked for records of her without luck, I suppose as she was still a young woman she could have re-married after Edward died. As my father lost contact with Edward when his parents divorced (Dad was only 8 years old) he sadly also lost contact with the Phillips side of his family.
I must admit I hadn't considered looking into where Edwards parents were buried, which I will now do.
Over the years I have gained a wealth of information from the FoD site, and always look for information here first.
Thank you for suggesting the several websites and for taking the time to help me in the search for Edward.

Judy
