Thomas Hawkins (General)
Hi Matt,
Literacy standards were very poor back in the days of my Great Grandad, and record keeping was extremely perfunctory. I don't suppose they could ever have imagined that we would be hunched over our computers trying to make sense of it all.
The Hawkins Family used the same names with every generation, for years. They were all John, Richard, William, Henry, James, or Thomas. It's very confusing.
I wish you the very best of luck, and hope that you keep posting on this site. I am more than willing to collaborate with any Hawkins researcher.
Best Regards
Stephen Hawkins.
